Welcome to the newly designed http://www.pandauk.me.uk website.
You will see some of the many things that were on the site before, and also a few new one's, as and when I have the time to add them - I don't sit around eating bamboo shoots all day you know.
To be able to contact me, or join in on the forums etc. you WILL have to register, you will need an active email address, please remember any abuse will be reported to your ISP. I have set the site this way, due to abuse of a guestbook previously and having received offensive emails.
New items include a forum with various sections, a special picture gallery, where many of my pictures that took up large spaces on pages have actually been categorised - yes I know some categories are empty - they are waiting for our trip to USA.
For now, just take a wander with Panda and see what you can find.
If you are interested in putting your computer to use while your not using it, this is for the benefit of our planet to compute what has happened and what will happen over the coming years. Rise in sea level, drop in land mass - my own home could be near the coast in some 50 or 60 years!! That's despite me living in the middle of England.
The BBC is running the experiment, and I have made a group, Save The Panda, so if you join up, join my team at the following url:

My own computer is on 24/7 and that means that while I am not using it, this programm will help others to understand what is happening. Whilst I am using the computer, the progamme still runs in the background, and I find that it does not interfere with my use of the pc at all. Mine is a fairly new high spec machine, so if yours is an aged machine you might find it could slow it down a tad, but there are ways of adjusting it.
I look forward to seeing you all there with me.
Julia
